problema riguardo opteron difettosi

---> 2. Are these systems used for running floating point intensive code sequences?
che devo dire secondo voi a questo punto? ^_^
""Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting the AMD Technical Service Centre in response to the
AMD Opteron Processor Models x52 and x54 Production Notice. Please note that no other single core or dual core Opteron processors are affected by this notice.
If your AMD Opteron based system(s) is/are HP, IBM, or Sun branded system(s); each company would like us to assure you that they will assist you directly.
Please contact your respective local representative(s) to determine if your system(s) may be affected by the Production Notice. If the system(s) may be affected, your representative will work with you directly to establish plans to perform processor verification testing, and, remediation, if any processors are found to be affected by the Production Notice.
Contact information for local representatives and technical support is as follows:
HP world-wide technical support can be found by calling 800-HP-INVENT in the US. For service outside North America, contact the appropriate HP Customer Support Center. A list of Customer Support Centers and appropriate phone numbers is available at:

For Sun customers, contact: http://www.sun.com/service/contacting/solution.html
For IBM customers, contact:

If you have systems provided by manufacturers other than those mentioned above, please consider the following questions:
1. Do the system(s) contain single-core AMD Opteron processors with one of these model numbers?
2.6 GHz: 152, 252, 852; or 2.8 GHz: 154, 254, 854
AND
2. Are these systems used for running floating point intensive code sequences?
If your answer to both questions above is "yes," or, if you have concerns regarding the relevance of the Production Notice to your system(s), please complete the attached spreadsheet and return it to AMD at mailto:prod.notice@amd.com with ‘X5XOTHERowner’ in the subject line.
What happens next?
We will use the information you provide in the attached spreadsheet to advise you by email of any additional steps required for resolution.
How can I contact AMD to get future status updates?
Please contact your local AMD Technical Service Centre.

We appreciate your co-operation and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
AMD Technical Service Centre
If it is determined that AMD will need to diagnose whether the processor(s) in your system may be affected, please note that AMD will need your consent to perform such diagnosis (and replacement of any processors, if necessary), and to have a warranty agreement in place with your warranty provider before proceeding with our visit. With the information you provide and your consent, we will contact your warranty provider to obtain such an agreement.
AMD will then dispatch a Service Engineer to perform a diagnostic test on the processor and replace it with a new AMD Opteron processor, if needed, at no cost to you for such diagnostic and replacement service. ""
